SOrry, I'm sure this has been posted, but I never seem to be able to find what I need with the search.

Vodafone Australia will not unlock my Storm, but I need to go overseas for a while and am not roaming, it would be cheaper to buy a new phone!

Just wondering if there is anyone here who has a guide, and files needed to do a soft unlock?

Am I making sense? I don't know a thing about unlocking these things. Would upgrading the firmware to a non carrier specific one unlock it or what?

In simple terms, I don't want to pay to unlock it, but I want to unlock it.

I've complained that V/Fone originally said I could unlock it, and so does the sticker on the box, but they can't help me.
