$163 + change out the door: upgrade on an existing business BB. The ordering system was screwy and charged my card 4 times! When I got the order pushed through, I immediately called my bank.
I'm hoping they have some holsters (not the leather case) soon. The one for my Curve has me spoiled rotten!
when you upgraded did you have to change your plan to nationwide email?
I've been on the family share loyaty plan with BIS (I already have a curve) I didn't change anything except the device and there were no fees of any kind.
I stopped by my local Verizon store around 8. I was surprised at the 20 or so people in the store. (I thought there'd be under 10). The Verizon rep seemed surprise too. She offered to order me a phone but said in store delivery would be 7 to 10 days.
So, I went on to work and ordered on-line.
Now, get this! I just bought a new phone in March (Treo 755p) and my wife's phone (Treo 700p) wasn't due for NE2 until Jul 09. But the web site gave me the $199 price on each plus free shipping and activation! Delivery is stated to be in two to three business days.
Now's when it gets really sweet!!!!
The end result will be $500 - $100 (rebate) = $400
Phone swap with RIM $400 - $78 (700p) - $71 (a 650p I still have) = $251 (blackberry.flipswap.com)
A co-worker is buying my 755 for $100 so... $251 - $100 = $151
$151 for TWO Storms! If you go to blackberry.flipswap.com be sure to use the code "graduate".
how????? im in the same boat as you but couldnt get that price online, keeps offering me retail.
I honestly have no idea. When my wife told me this morning my line was getting the $199 price I thought she was wrong. It's my personal lines but I do get 15% off everything through work. Earlier in the week, I talked to my corporate rep who told me I'd have to pay full retail but he'd see if he could let my wife get NE2.
My only guess is he granted it on both lines. Or else dumb luck!
$249.99 with 2yr agreement
- $50 MIR (taking off at the register & not sending the MIR)
- $100 New Every Two
- $50 new store opening special - today only at Scottsdale Verizon Store
======
$49.99 + tax
A guy in line mentioned the Blackberry Graduate trade up program & I am eligible. After that $50 rebate I will be out $3.97 (tax) for the Storm. Only catch is Verizon has me for 2 years... just like the last 12 years on this line.
EDIT: The trade-in phone is worth $70 so I guess I'll come out of this deal up $73.97. I better start looking at accessories. I'm doing my part to get this economy back on track one purchase at a time.

I had a new every 2 so I got the phone for $149.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate which would have an end cost of $99.99 plus tax. I also bought a few accessories for about $40.
However the best part was I put my Curve 8330 on Craigs List last night and sold it this afternoon for $275, because I had a TON of accessories, and it is practically new.
The reason I got so much for my Curve was because I broke it a few days ago and Verizon sent me a new one, which I never used, so I decided to sell it on Craigs List.
Also I used the Blackberry trade up program and sold an old LG phone and got about $25 for it + $50 for the "graduate" program code so about another $75.
If I only paid $99.99 for the phone and sold a few phones for about $350, I mad a killing by buying the Storm and selling my old phones.
i paid 108 and some change today and thats before the mail in rebate.
i knew about my NE2 and the rebate...but they threw in an extra 50 bucks, at the counter...so once i get my rebate check it will come to 58 bucks....i think i made out quite well.
1 - Storm $249 (-)$50 Mail in Rebate (-)$100 New Every Two (-)$70 Mail in swap (Razr).... total $29
2 - Storm $249 (-)$50 Mail in Rebate (-)90 Mail in swap (LG vx8700) .... total $109
Total $138 plus tax for two phones
Edited: Called customer service and they gave me an additional $50 off for VIP. Total: $88 plus tax for two phones
$308.04 with tax, Saturday delivery and before $50 MIR. Also bought insurance for it (don't want to be like that one guy who dropped his down a flight of concrete stairs).
One year into my contract... which is funny... because the last phone I bought from Verizon was the Voyager... which was released on 11/21/07 so I was up for annual upgrade today.
i paid 149 as well, MIR- 50 VIP-50, plus for my old ENV from like 3 years ago, and the GRADUATE code on the blackberry trade in program I am recieving $94. So when all is said and done I will have paid 55 bucks. Wow i didn't even full realize that until just now. Nice!
I paid $199 for the phone, car charger, condom, screen protector. I had my annual upgrade for $50 they changed the mail in to instant for me and got 25% off acc. and i got 111.40 for my old phone with the graduate code soo all in all i paid 88 bucks
Question about using the blackberry.flipswap.com trade in program and the $50 mail in rebate from verizon. How are we supposed to send both of them our Blackberry Storm proof of purchase?
