Nope, that's a permanent setting. You can still use google.com, or download Opera Mini as google is the default search engine with it. If you don't mind paying for dedicated app, SearchIt has a plethora of search engines in it, as well as Quicklaunch which allows you to set shortcuts to apps, websites, and other phone functions. Both those are available from the Crackberry app store ($3 for SearchIt, $5 for QuickLaunch).
What exactly do you mean "bing off as my broswer"? If your refering to the pushed bing app from Verizon, no there is no way to remove it. You can mark it as hidden and forget about it.

U have 30 days to return the phone. If you hate it that much, return it for something else that floats your boat. (also, I find your rant about Bing ludicrous in the extreme. crying that because it has bing on the browser you don't want the phone. good grief, suck it up!)
Easy there, Dave. He may grow to like his device, there is always a learning curve.
Never did figure out what the big problem is with Bing. I don't use the pushed app at all, in fact the pushed link got put in a hidden folder as soon as it showed up. As for the browser... who cares whether it's Bing, Google, MSN, or the one of the many others... really. They are all search engines, nothing more nothing less.
Plus, like someone else suggested, use QuickLaunch and set a "Search" shortcut to whatever your preference is. What? Don't have QL? Well, you should ;) .
If Bing bothers ya that much... take the phone back and get something else. Jeesh.
For some reason if I use bing on my bb browser it only returns a few results, if I click to go to a page from those results its much slower, than if I go through google and click the link
so search bing + click link = slow
Search google + click link = faster
Also bing only returns a few results, like 3, before I have to hit next to see more. Odd
Troll a little? You would have bought a different phone? Give me a ****ing break

Yeah, he'll probably stop whining about his issue with Bing when pigs fly out of my posterior. :)
