Is there anyway to set all message alerts to a certain ringtone even though I set spectific phone ringtones for different contacts? If i set it through sounds, when i check contacts, would all the contacts message alerts be the same?

It's that way default.. except to the ones you assigned the ringers...

Yes.
Hit the speaker icon...goto set ringtones/alerts. there you can set the default tones for whatever you want.

I think he means he wants to change the default tone to something different.

Thanks guys! Here is what happened: when I added a contact, I only changed the phone ringtone on it. Then through sounds i set all mms, sms, etc alerts to a specific message alert. And apparently since I changed the phone alert, the meaasge alert work. I manually changed a lot of my message alerts for contacts and was wondering how I can EITHER set them back to default OR override all of them and set them to one specific alert?
