    Anyone having this problem? Both BB Maps and Garmen Mobile are just sitting there with the searching for satellites message. I am in an open area and I have location on set.

    Try rebooting your device. It sounds like the GPS chip or software needs resetting.

    I've had Google Maps tell me that GPS is unavailable.

    Garmin mobile is notorious for this. A reboot does fix it but it makes it unreliable in my opinion.
