What platform is .591 from? We had a user tell us that Verizon is actually releasing .591 for the 9550.

What differences did you notice, if any, over straight 607? I don't use bbm so that's not an issue for me. The Opera Mini bug is a minor annoyance. My battery life doesn't seem to be as good though.

Browser is more responsive and I have not noticed any lag in the keyboard....also the battery is alot better than straight .607 after a couple days of it settling in....

Interesting. Is the java folder the heart and soul of a base? What allows you to install something of a different base? Thanks!

Yes the java folder is indeed the heart and soul, a lot of people think that if they load, for example, this hybrid over .607 base that the 'about screen' will still read .607 even though this hybrid contains no .607 files...so basically regardless of what base OS you use with the hybrid, what will determine the compatibility of the hybrid and OS is following the hybrid builder's directions in installing the OS that the hybrid was built around....and taking a chance on mixing the hybrid with any other OS not adviced by the builder.

So, it wouldn't make a difference if I installed over 517 and not 607

this hybrid is so much better then the straight .607 in my opinion. 607 was such a disappointment and even more so the fact that verizon thought this OS was perfect. this hybrid is so much more responsive and the fact that "you" don't have to do anything for reset apps, like in 607 where you have to manually tell it to reset and not automatically when scheduled.

Even though its built for 517 OS, choosing to go with 607 is totally your decision...both should work fine...

For me about the same since I'm a light to medium user...of course the drainage from talking on the phone varies still...

I found the 607 radio to be very bad even with the good battery life. I moved back to 517 and installed this hybrid. It works great. Great work Sean.
