Well, I moved from the i760 a week ago and am still adjusting. I have used WinMo for years and learned to deal with all of the quirks and intricacies of the interface. I miss file explorer and the gang at PDAPhoneHome but mostly the ability to sync directly to inbox subfolders. I assume I will eventually adjust to the BB lifestyle or move back.
I left my i760 about 2 months ago for a Curve 8330. I was very worried, but the conversion was easy and painless. I do more on my Curve than I ever did on my i760.
Now that my favorite app is available for the BB, eWallet, I am set! I am a BlackBerry convert, better yet, a Crackberry Addict!
I was an i730 user, made the leap to the i760 and have had the Storm since the day it was released. So far - very happy. I enjoy not having to constantly reset a device and the HTML browser makes it soooo easy to surf the web. Bye bye stylus!!
After going through four i760's I'm picking mine up today from Best Buy. I've had constant screen orientation problems, but besides this its been a good phone for the past year...Now its time to begin the learning curve all over again. I will definitely miss the TomTom and my Sling Player Mobile along with a few other programs I installed that made the most of the i760 (I know that the Sling Player should be released soon for the BB). Looking forward to learning a lot here in the forums.
The i760 was my first experience with WM and will be my last. The device needs to be hard reset often -- I miss calls, pages, emails when it freezes in standby mode. WM is a great OS if you want to tinker and customize but I just want something that works, and lets me use it efficiently. Have to wait until 12/5 for shipping though.
had my storm since launch day and don't regret the jump at all. the only things I miss about the i760 is slingplayer, skyfire (and maybe wifi). and sometimes a hardware keyboard. things i don't miss: windows mobile, soft resets.
i must admit i am going through some growing pains. i am coming from an i760 and even with its problems, it was so darn customizable that i had a lot of fun using it.
Once more apps roll in i will be fine. i do like the clean UI of the storm; i can truly say i have never had a phone that holds a signal better and does what i tell it to do, hassle free.
i had an Omnia for a few days but the dull screen, need for a stylus at times and cramped feel of WM on it did me in and i returned it. Aesthetically its beautiful, but I am in love with how spaciously everything is mapped out on my Storm.
