I recently bought ringtones off of funtonia.com which is not the point but when i set the ringtone i downloaded to a sms alert for a specific person it doesnt matter what ringer setting i have it always rings. Even on vibrate. I have all of the custom setting to Active Profile. But when i change the custom ringtone back to a preloaded ringtone it works. Is there anyway i can fix this or anyone else have this problem?
If you are still on OS .75, that is the way it works. If you set different ringtones for certain contacts, they will always ring through... whether you put the phone on vibrate or silent.
The work around is to create your own custom vibrate/silent sound profile, make sure the volume levels of the contacts with specific ringtones are set to Active Profile, and then just set your phone to your custom vibrate/sound profile instead of the stock one that came on the phone.
