I decided to stick with all the following:
- Slow screen to screen movement
- 4 click minimums to dial people not on my speed dial
- 2 click minimums to dial people on my speed dial
- battery pulls every day
- Freezes between screens
- VZ Navigator popping up for no reason while doing other things
- really low volume on some calls for an odd reason
- Rhapsody sucks
- It takes like 1 minute sometimes to get to the applications folder
- Why can't it vibrate and ring at the same damn time
- Sometimes it won't charge while in VZ Navigator
- In the home screen my icons always show new mail but there isn't
- Word Mole has a big hole in it's word dictionary
- Visual Voicemail will bring back deleted voicmails from 3 days ago
- The interface for finding applications isn't great to many icons in one place
- The CALL LOG SUCKS! IT'S HORRIBLE! HORRID! ORRIBLE! (Thats spanish for Horrible)
- The screen gets greasy way to fast (I have greasy fingers though)
- The calculator has it's buttons in the least intuitive places (really, calc's have been around for decades, why reinvent the wheel)
- The camera is great if you can predict the future (Press the button ... wait 3 seconds ... CLICK! Damn!)
- Why is there a Music Icon and also a Media Icon that's stupid
- The documentation for this phone is horrible and not one person including RIM knows what all the options do
- Random app launches because you press to open the apps folder, but it doesn't launch so you press it again, and then it launches the app that was in the same place as your second click because it took 15 seconds to open the folder
- It gets pretty hot when using VZ Navigator
- Where are all the apps? I thought I was going to be in app heaven.
- Why can't I put videos into a folder like the pictures, I don't want to open the videos section of the Media app and see all the videos at once I want them to be seperated into different folders.

That's about all I can think of for now.

I am out of my 30 day return on the 30th day I went into Verizon and looked around and all the other phones were pretty crappy, so i debated it and decided to keep it thinking that soon the updates would be OFFICIALLY released. BUT WHERE ARE THEY! RIM! RIM! CAN YOU HEAR ME? WHERE IS THE DAMN UPDATE!?!? Maybe I should call them from a different phone, then they might be able to hear me.

P.S. I decided to stay with the phone for the following:
- GREAT! I MEAN STUPENDOUS way to manage recieving emails! I love it! I had the Treo 700w and that was a mission and a half.
- I really like VZ Navigator, if someone has used it and seriously given it a shot and has found something better, please let me know.
- Texting, Twitter, Facebook, Internet Browser all work well and are way better than my Treo 700w
- It's lighter than my old Treo
- That's it

Seriously. Rim has been producing OS versions left and right. Verizon (or what ever carrier you are on, I didn't look) has yet to make on official. And may not for awhile. not sure.

Just update the OS with one of the leaked versions....I assume you are running .75 try .85 or.86..... .90 is a little buggy but way faster.

The leaked OS is the exact same as the official release and if you don't like it just downgrade your phone back to .75, no harm no foul

If the leaked was the same as the official, it would have become official instead remaining a leaked. Leaked and official OS ARE different, which has been addressed in forum several times.

Seriously, though, some of the things you list aren't even related to the OS: the screen getting greasy? Other's aren't within RIM's control: the shoddiness of VZW's visual voice mail, the shoddiness of VZ Navigator, the shoddiness of Rhapsody.

And the fact that you're pinning this all on RIM is off-the-mark as well. RIM has been pushing out boatloads of OS updates for testing (see leaks of .85, .86, and .90, for example). But RIM does not have the final say about which OS gets pushed out officially to customers. Each service provider gets the opportunity to test the beta releases that RIM sends out, and only when the provider is satisfied with a given version do they designate that one as official and send it out to their customers. So at the very least, please change your complaint to "RIM AND VERIZON! Where's the official OS update?"

Also, on the topic of calculator keys: the keys are positioned the way they are because that's how the number and symbol keys have been positioned on BlackBerry keyboards for years now. Those are the same keys you would push when using the calculator program on any other BlackBerry with a full keyboard.

WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE LEAKED OS'S. that is why theyre LEAKED. when they make them, they dont know it wont let the phone charge. they dont know what bugs will arise. its trial and error. when an official update comes out it will be a solid build, and that update will come when it comes.

According to Crucial_Extreme and a few others, a leaked OS and Official releases are the same, if they have the same rev number, ie .86, .90 are the same as an official .90 release. I would listen to C_X and what he puts out ( he is in the know).

For those of you who have already responded and those of you who will respond saying:

If I was the owner of a company and I create a product and then I sell that product through a 3rd party, it's my responsibility to make sure it's a good product. The responsibility ALWAYS falls on the manager, or the chief, or the president, or the parents, or whoever. Placing blame on others is a cheap way out. Had RIM released the phone with a good OS from the start then I wouldn't be asking for an OS update. RIM IS MAKING MONEY for each phone sold. So they have a vested interested in ensuring that the product works correctly. If as many of you say it's VZW's fault than RIM needs to place pressure on them to get out a working product instead of leaking these back alley updates. I am so tired of all the CRACKBERRY FIENDS that seem to think that RIM CAN DO NO WRONG! They are a company that is in it to make money and I have CRACKBERRY friends who all told me not to get the Storm. I should have listened. I should have waited for the Palm Pre.

I want an OFFICIAL OS RELEASE. I am OWED an OFFICIAL OS RELEASE. FROM RIM, NOT VZW, RIM! RIM gets the OS to VZW, they test it they release it. I DON'T CARE, until RIM gets the version to VZW, they can't test it, WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND! Why can't I ask for a good product without getting flamed? AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I can't relate to you because I love this phone and haven't found anything major to complain about it. I guess I am one of the few that know how to get the phone to work around the bugs.
