Hey all, random annoying problem...

So when I first received my phone, I spent quite a bit of time playing with Google Maps. When I was entering addresses using SureType, I would attempt to enter "St.", which the auto-correct would change to "at" - I went back several times and re-entered the word as "St.".

Now, for some reason, whenever I want to type the word "at", the Storm auto-completes it as "St", and it's getting really annoying. As you can imagine, I use the word "at" about 10,000 times more than I use "St." (rough estimate), so things are getting annoying.

Any ideas (short of wiping my phone) on how to retrain the autocomplete to put in "at" instead of "St."?

Never had this problem I usually enter the email address in my contacts and just send emails or whatever through the contact section... I could see how that could be annoying,,,

Perhaps adding both to the custom dictionary?

I feel your pain everytime i try to write texted in a message the phone assumes I want textrd.... its not even a word, c'mon storm...

Try using the custom dictionary.

It's sort of a workaround, but add "St." to the custom dictionary then immediately remove it. This will reset its status and stop auto-correcting. Something similar to this happened to me before and took me forever to figure it out.

Just a tip: Use landscape mode for odd text, such as this.

Just force it to spell a-t correctly in the same way you trained it to learn s-t. Seems like if it learned once it can probably learn twice.

SHARKS good call that WILL work. yea if you just go to the SMS screen and type at, and when it shows both words select at, and space and again and again and again. after a while it will make at the default for when those keys are punched in that order again i had to make it do that for haha instead of giving me the word GAGA effing gags LOL and alays put gun when i was trying to type hun. but now they both type the way that i want them

i really wish there was a way to change the priority of words it chooses. i always get "um" when trying t say "im" but when i try to add um or im to the custom dictionary it says this word already exists. i did add haha to the dictionary and that fixed the gaga problem lol.
