If i keep my emails "forever" in the setting, do those emails take up application memory? Meaning, over the next few months to more emails i have on my phone to less application memory i should have over time? Does anyone know?

That is correct. Keeping emails forever will cause your application memory to decrease over time, unless you go through and manually delete emails yourself.

Yes, it would. That's why I love using GMail. I can do a remote search on the mailbox and find the email I am looking for even if I delete off my handheld. Not sure if it can be done on other email accounts, I suspect it is part of the GMail Plugin.

Wiggety-WACK! I'm guessing it has something to do with the security of the email messages, otherwise I assume they would be saved on teh 2gb internal or 16gb microSD card... Either way... I think this should be an OPTION. Let us customize the phone to how we use it and we will be happy!

I'm pretty sure it has to do with poor programming practices, not security.

@MobileMadness002: Woah! Didn't know you could remote search on Gmail - Just looked into it after you posted that comment and that's a neat feature. Thanks for the tip!

Doesn't matter what it has to do with, but every message and database is stored in the application memory.
