When I upgraded to 419, I skipped over 328. I had some very minor issues with 419 and I thought I would try out 328. Man, was that a mistake. I did a backup through DM prior to installing the new (older) OS. Can I restore 419 by restoring from the backup or do I have to reinstall 419? Does the DM backup only back up the data or does it backup the operating system as well?

It backs up the OS as well. You should have a folder called backup with all the backups and dates. It should be in program files, common files..I forget the name of the folder...something like research in motion, blackberry, etc...

    Ummm, what?? Wrong.

No, when you backup the phone, it doesn not backup the OS as well.

If you want to reload .419, you will need to reinstall the OS. Restoring from a backup only restores your application data.
