So I got a replacement storm yesterday, came in a brown box, not the white box with certified like new stickers. Im not sure if that means its a refurb or what. Anyway I noticed a little black piece of foam in a semicircle shape where the battery would go. I remember some posts a long time ago about people putting a few stickers behind the battery to make the screen click better, among other methods. My question is, is this something done by RIM or is this left over from the previous owner?
I apologize if this has been previously discussed.
No its rim's band-aid fix. I thought the same thing as a friend of mines got the foam pad too. But turned out to be normal. The best devices are devices made in Canada with the foam pad. They have the brighter screens and good clicking. Not mushy at all

The brown box means that its direct from rim, it is still technically a refurbished device, but nobody has ever used it before. So its like a brand new device.
