It really annoys me that the message indicator stops blinking after a short peroid of time. Is there anyway to change this so it stays on till the message is checked?

I agree that is very annoying. This is my 1st BB, do they all do this? I missed many appts and calls until I installed BBAlerts. Its ok, does the job, but is kind of buggy, at least on my Storm. But its better than nothing. Too bad we even need a 3rd party app for something so basic.
I am sure it's just a matter of me being stupid, but I can't seem to find BBAlerts in the app store. Can someone point me in the direction? Is there a good free app that will fix this problem?
Man I'm just the opposite! I get annoyed when the lite is blinking and then I can't help but look at my phone. And then there are times when my BB catches some light off the window or TV or whatever and I have to just stare at it for a while and see if its blinking. I know that sounds sorry but I'm trying to cut back on the addiction of checking my phone every 30 seconds and that little red light is not helping the cause.
