i have one of those cases where it just slides in. basically it's a leather pouch. i got it at the verizon store. yesterday i slid my storm into it and somehow the red hang up button caught on something and tore right off. peeled up and off. i felt around in the case and there is nothing to catch on.
anyway. i called verizon right away and told them about it. they said that it must be some kind of manufacture defect. they overnighted a replacement phone to me.
The pouch is known to cause this problem. You should of searched here before purchasing it! I would not recommend using it when you get your new Storm.
Number one reason why I put mine in upside down. Sucks because I don't have access to the top buttons, but hey.
i really need the case. i actually love it except for it destroying my storm. i got the new one and transferred my stuff tonight. i think i'll take your advice and put it in upside down. that should work and i don't really use the top buttons at all. so, great idea.
Glad to hear Verizon is taking care of you. I tried one of those pouches at the Verizon store and ended up not getting it due to the amount of energy it took to get it back out (I'm fat and ugly and very stupid).

Same problem here... except the "ugly" part... I'm a damn good-lookin' fat dummy! LMAO....
We may have the same case. The flap is triangular and all four corners of the storm are exposed while in the case? I think I paid $25 for it and the struggle to slide the phone out while hooked to my belt has caused my blood pressure to peak on more than one occasion
no, mine is a pouch that fits the storm like a glove. only the top 1/4 inch of the storm stick out. there is nothing on it to put on a belt or anything. i just slide it into my back pocket of my pants or into a jacket pocket. it's pretty easy to slide in and out. really easy actually. i paid $20 at verizon.
i use the same leather sleeve. best bet is to squeeze the sides of the case slightly when sliding it in. this will prevent the buttons from getting snagged on the seam.
thats funny because i have this same exact case with no problems. i dont see how it could get stuck, there is nothing in there to snag. maybe you just had a defective end button.
i hate the buttons on this storm, they are just kinda glued on... you would think they would make them more durable. As nice as the phone looks, the way it was put together is really very poor.

it's not completely obvious, but the buttons actually can catch on the top edge on the interior lining, so watch out!

Yeah, I know. There is nothing to catch on, yet at I was sliding it in, it was snagging somehow. And stupid me, I kept pushing not realizing the damage I was doing. Then, when I pulled out the phone, the button was all screwed up.
