Is my rate plan good at all?

    - 750 daytime minutes
    - unlimited incoming/outgoing calling after 5pm and weekends
    - unlimited incoming/outgoing text messaging to anyone
    - unlimited e-mail/IM/internet browsing
    - caller ID, voicemail, call waiting/forwarding

all after system access fees, 911 fees, and taxes for $82CAD per month.

Worth it? Or should I whine to Telus more?

Overall it's a decent plan, but the after 5PM is what really makes it a good deal.

Hmmm... Your plan seems quite good.

Here are the details of my plan

Voice (17.50$) + Data (25.00$). Basically I got the deluxe data plan of 45$ for 25$.
Please note I got my phone in early December and Telus had different plans at that time

    - 450 (200 with plan and 250 bonus minutes)
    - unlimited incoming/outgoing calling after 6pm and weekends
    - unlimited incoming/outgoing text messaging to anyone
    - unlimited e-mail/IM/internet browsing/data streaming
    - caller ID, voicemail 10, call waiting/forwarding

all after system access fees, 911 fees, and taxes for ~$55CAD per month. This a 3 year contract. In addition, I got 150$ bill credit for being a long-time Telus customer (4-5 years)

My only advice is call the client loyalty several times since each rep will reward differently by offering different services/rebates

They charge you to recieve calls???

If I am overseas then I would be charged an element of the call but thats down to call roaming

DAMN, now I really AM gonna move to Canada. Those doing the math in their heads (like me) remember the canadian dollars is less than the US dollar so 82 CAD is more like 60 US.

Yes - they charge for incoming calls here - which in the earlier days of cell phones in the UK they did also.

Verizon has just started doing a friends and family - which will help people to bring costs down though.

    For folks with Telus,

The browsing/streaming is free. The costs is .50$ per download.

Also for those with the unlimited data plan, be sure it is for the duration of the contract and not just their 3 month introductory offer.

For $82/month I get this with Telus:

    250 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Nationwide everything (call, text, MMS, etc) with My10
    Unlimited Evenings & Weekends @ 6pm
    Unlimited Email/IM/Browsing
    Unlimited Text
    VM 10
    Caller ID
    PERKS, etc

Not bad for me. The My10 Nationwide is a huge money saver. I have basically everyone I call on a regular basis on there (including 5 people across Canada) and the rest of my friends I text. Never went over my bill.

It makes it hard to compare the plans when they are all different and customized. I have a business plan that they made for me. $240.00 CAD + tax
    3 phones
    2300 min shared
    free incoming
free eves. and wknds from 6
free calling between the three phones
    free incoming calls
two blackberries with unlimited data, email and download
voice mail 25 for all phones
250 min long distance for each phone
    visual voicemail for my phone
    all the normal calling features
    I think that's it.

    It seems good.

The other postings weren't for Family Share plans though.

This is really comparing apples to oranges. Most Canadian companies do 3yr contracts. If VZW did this then the monthly cost could go down but you'd have to wait longer to upgrade to reduce subsidy costs to offset the revenue loss. Most European carriers base the phone pricing on the plan you select, i.e. the lower the plan the higher the phone cost.

I have 450 anytime, unlimited M2M and N&W, unlimited data and messaging for $45/month after discount.
