Quick Phantom Skinz Review
This is just a quick review of my great experience with phantomskinz.
Ordering - Was simple enough and I had a great discount for crackberry users.
The Install - Wow this was in a way difficult yet not too difficult. I followed the instructions on these forums posted by guru and they were relatively helpful.
BUT I recommend to total newbies like me to not start with the side/bottom back piece as that is the most difficult one to put on. Another part that was difficult was the chrome corner S pieces, which you should install dried.
I saw a lot of cloudiness initially but it pretty much cleared up after a day or so.
The Product - I love this skin. There is no orange peel effect or stickiness. The phone is still just as smooth as always. This thing really does self heal! I had a couple of scratches from who knows what and they disappear soon afterwards. My brother still doesn't believe me. And no one can tell that I have the skin on (that's very important).
Customer Service - I've contacted their customer service several times and they have been very responsive everytime, unlike Seido.
The first time I asked about having them do the install. They do it for free (if you ship your phone and purchase a skin).
The second time involved my botched install of the bottom/side piece. It started to peel because I tried removing and reapplying several times. They offered to ship me a replacement at no extra charge. So here's hoping that my next install will come out better (especially after having some experience with installing).
That's just my two cents. If you have any hesitation about purchasing this, don't it's a great investment.
