Is it worth going from .90 to .99?

my honest opion- no, not worth it.
only thing that .99 has is smaller keys on the keyboards and the fade transitions.
everything else has been the same for me as it was on .90. i personally think .90 was faster. i have a lot of lag when typing texts on .99
I don't think thats accurate. There are a lot of ixes in this release. I haven't got the VSOD or media card error on this version which was a big one for me. No random reboots yet and haven't needed to reboot once. The phone works great and all the buttons are fixed now, alll the media works great, the camera and video are fixed. You just need to watch which 3rd party programs you install. My memory was dropping to 0.0 so i started deleting programs. I deleted VZ navigator, CB and photobucket and I havent gone under 35mb yet, the phone is working GREAT!!

In my opinion it is WELL worth it. While I liked some of the stuff .90 brought to the table, the random reboots are the freezes were enough to sour me. .99 is a hair slower, BUT not much, AND I did prefer the bigger font of .90, .99 is MUCH more stable. It still has much of the speed, the full qwerty, AND it has a better functioning camera (IMO), and the media player, while still flawed (movies) is better in .99 than in .90. Well worth the switch!
Don't forget many are still reporting errors in music playback in .99 that is not found in .90. That is, songs and video beginning at random points.
I think the answer lies in your current experience with your current OS. If its stable and working well for you, - why mess around with a leaked OS? If your getting random re-boots and VSOD or just G-d awful slowness, then you have nothing to lose.
that was one of the worst bugs in .90 was it rebooting while playing music for a lot of people. That and the camera. Both seem to be fixed in .99 along with no media card or vsod issues anymore.
I doubt you will find CX or myself talking much if any about beta releases for at least the near future. What the others in the thread have said is correct. Go read the opinions of others in the finding threads.
Good 2nd point! I was having random reboots & freezes in .90 that I'm not getting (so far) in .99. As for the Media it's working good for me in .99, the only problem, and this was in both .90 & .99 is trying to jump ahead in songs and movies, THAT does not work right for me.
Give it a try! You can always go back down to .90
1) Much more stable than .90
2) I haven't had to do nearly as many battery pulls (except initially when reinstalling programs)
3) Media works without crashing
4) Camera saves pictures in large format.
5) No VSOD
6) No media card inserted error

EDIT : Why do CX and Sith have to answer this question? I always get a chuckle when someone titles a thread asking for CX or Sith to help them with something. I guess the rest of us suck and can't help...oh well. Wah.
'Tis a pity. I don't know what all happened exactly, and I'm not all that interested in reading a bunch of pointless back and forth. All I know is that both yours and Crucial's contributions will be missed. I can only hope it's a temporary moratorium.
