I'm currently with Fido/Rogers and interested in purchasing the Storm2 from Vodafone or T-Mobile. I've always wanted a storm but I heard rumors that if you are with Rogers/T-Mobile/Fido/Cingular as your carrier you wouldn't be able to use any of the 3G features and would only be able to go as far as using Edge.

Is this still true with the Storm 2 9520 from Vodafone?

I'm using a 9550 on T-mobile. Yes, I have Edge, but honestly, I don't know what a difference it would make to use it on 3G - it's still pretty fast.

I've had a Storm1 and now on Storm2 since last year. All on T-mobile, and I've been very satisfied with my experience.
