On my old Palm Treo, I could mark selected contacts as private and that contact could only be accessed using a password. All other info was visible. Is there a similar capability on the 9530?

I think you're just going to have to make the entire phone password protected so your wife doesn't find out about your girlfriends.

Do search on AppLock. May have capability 2 lock Contacts.

there is something in password or security about restricting certain functions or areas of the phone and require a password to access...i'll look and get back to you in a bit

Thanks for the link to SafeBox. I guess I was spoiled with the ability with the Palm to lock individual entries within the Contacts file. It seems SafeBox locks an entire app or an entire set of data files. I want to drill down to hide just one or two entries with sensitive data. Maybe the ultimate solution is just to take them off the BlackBerry.

The best security is to memorize your girlfriends names and phone numbers and then delete them. Unfortunately if you have so many that you need a photo in the contact info to remember who is who, then you're hooped...use the safe lock.
