Everything else is perfectly fine. No problem with contacts, emails, sms, bbm, etc. Maybe the media card really has an error. I wanted to ask around before I go messing around on the computer to fix it.
Ok I did some searching on the Internet and found a solution on some other blackberry forums. I'll list the fix for you and anyone else in case.
1. Plug Blackberry into Computer.
2. Go to My Computer
3. Right Click on the Blackberry Media File..Mine was the E: Drive.
4. Go to Properties
5. Then to the "Tools" Tab
6. Click "Check Now" in the Error Checking Section
7. Select "Auto Fix" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" boxes.
8. Hit start
9. After this is complete un-plug blackberry and go to Media folder on your blackberry. It will say scanning and the status bar at the bottom will move as the blackberry scans for media card and contains. After it is finished you should have everything back.
Took about 20-30 mins I would say. So far it has worked with no problems. I got my pictures back, Background photo appeared automatically.
@marlee52987: Only method available is Options > autotext > menu > new > "replace" field > type a shorthand such as xx > "with" field > signature u want > w/in sms/mms, type ur shorthand > press space bar. Voila!
yes you can keep your sim, it doesnt hurt to have a back up and their not going to charge you for it if its missing. When i rec my replacement i kept mine.
i have 4 e-mail accounts set up. HOW DO I CHANGE THE DEFUALT EMAIL ACCOUNT FOR OUTGOING MESSAGES. Done it before, recently wiped and cannot find the answer.

I have an unlocked BBerry Storm 9530.
So far I have gotten everything set up ok.
My problem is that I cannot get it to link with the desktop software. I have tried version 4.6 and version 4.7.
The only CD I got with the phone has VCast, Drivers and something else irrelevant. I tried loading the drivers from this CD.
The problem is, I cannot use the media manager on the desktop to load pictures and music to my phone.
Can someone please tell me what software to use or what to set up or something?
the hover feature in email worked previously allowing me to search for emails by selected email addresses.. however, it no longer seems to work....is there an option i may have disabled on my storm?
