Those of you with new Storms that have a manufacturing date of January anything 2009, please look at the back of your phone in the lower left hand side of the back bezel where the Qualcomm 3G CDMA branding is. See if you have a small "protruding dimple" in the casing. It'll look like a brail dot.

I ran up on a new Storm that had a manufacturing date of 1/7/09 and it had this. Just wondering what others are seeing. Chime in if you have it and give us your manufacturing date. (btw, don't be posting in here asking how to look up the manufacuring date... it's on your box, lol)

#1 manufactured in Canada 11/23/08 no dimple

#2 manufactured in Canada 12/09/08 no dimple (replacement will be arriving 01/27/09)

#3 manufactured in Canada 11/18/08 no dimple

I'll try to remember to check the mfg date and dimple v. no dimple on the replacement.

I just helped a friend exchange his poorly clicking Storm. His replacement was a 1/10/09 Canada made one. The click screen is absolutely perfect. The best I've ever seen. I will ask him if he has a dimple... (Let me re-phrase that... I'll ask if his Storm has a dimple - lol)

Edit: His Storm has no dimple...

screen seems to click well but I have no frame of reference. if I had my druthers it would be a little more travel on teh click towards the bottom of the screen. not bothersome though.
