1stBB ever and very happy S2 user here.
I keep this phone in a mount in my car and use it with my Parrot Blue Tooth system.
Is there a way to keep the screen lit all the time? - instead of timing out. If not is there an application that can do this?
I know you can adjust Options: Screen/Keyboard/Backlight Timeout - but the maximum is 2 minutes.
I use my S2 phone dial pad to dial my contact numbers that are not synced w/my bluetooth. I am not concerned about battery life since the phone is plugged in.
Thanks in advance for any info - great message board!

You can control this behavior with the 3rd party app BBLight.

Another app that gives a similar capability is Leave It On.

I have not used either of these apps on the Storm 2 so I can't guarantee they will work on the platform. Try before you buy.

Your welcome. It has the option to leave it in while charging which is great, not to mention about 8 apps at a time. :0)

BBlight is a great app. It will work for your purpose. I have it do the same when I place it on the charge dock to listen to music so the back light won't go out with the media player up.

Quick launch is a extremely handy app that I believe should come standard on every blackberry. It has the option to leave the display on as well as many other great features. And its not expensive at all or very big... I think only 78 kb. Try it out!
