well,
i am about to go buy a storm 2... and i have been looking on craigslist a lot and they look so similar, how can i check and make sure i am getting a storm 2 and not just one with the new OS on it?

is there a Serial number on the back under the battery or someway to tell?

just dont want to get scammed

Storm 1 has bottons on the bottom. The send, bb,back and end..
strom 2 has all for right on the screen not on the phone itself..

so they are the "touch screen" buttons on the storm 2
and hard, clickable buttons on storm 1?

A quick way to tell by looking...
Storm1 the green phone icon on the call button faces down
Storm2 it faces up.

S1 Doesn't.

The buttons, physical if S1, touch if S2, is easy and quick. Of course, hitting OPTIONS/ABOUT will also tell you if it's a 9550 or 9530.

If you're getting it off Craigslist make sure you meet the seller at a VZW store and verify that the phone is clean (not stolen/lost) before handing over any cash!

i am unlocking it now and using with Tmobile

but i understand how that could easily be a stolen phone and just resold
