Can I upload photo's directly to my picasa account?
I searched and found alot of talk about a program being created then scrapped...
I can access my Picasa account from google.mobi but I cannot see a way to upload photos. The site says you can, and to enable the browser to do so but I'm lost on that as well.
Sure would be great if you could select a photo then select 'send to picasa'
You can email photos to Picasa if you set it up to allow it. It's not configured by default. Log into Picasa and enable it in settings, and set a secret key. Then you'll be able to email photos to "<your-user-name>.<your-configured-secret-word>@picasaweb.com. They go into a default drop box but if you change the subject to an album name, they'll go there.
I set my address up as a contact named Picasa, makes it simple to email images.
Geotagging; Attaching the GPS position where the photo was taken to the photo data. You can pull up a photo, and figure out exactly on a map where it was taken.

That's pretty tricky.
Is it done automatically? If not what's required to make it happen?
Question, how do you view the Geotagging or what not in Picasa?
Have not played around with it at all to much. I do know that the photos I uploaded are Geotagged because they show up on my map in my SmugMug pictures gallery. Just cannot seem to find it or figure it out for Picasa.
Definitely do like the email trick though. Thanks a lot!
In Picasa, select picture(s), then go to tools -> geotag -> view in Google Earth.
Thanks for the info, I will have to check it out and play with it some more. Pretty simple, which I figured it would end up being and should have been able to figure it out myself.
