Ok so I just bought my Storm today and I live in the UK, I went onto their site and it told me that .78 was the latest version yet I see people on here who are running things like .141, is it possible for me to run a newer firmware version or will they only work on US phones?

Yes you can just download from crackberry and follow instructions from the sticky at the top of the os discussion page

Yes you can run newer firmware. In the UK you would have a 9500. Look for OS files that are for that phone and not ones for the 9530. The latest OS available for the 9500 is .141, which is also the latest version available for the 9530. There are howto posts available for instruction if you need them. Happy updating!

.132 was good but so is .141. The only minor issue I had was on .132 I had better battery life. Your best bet is to read the findings thread for both

Compared to your OS that you have now. You will notice a WORLD of a difference Go with .141
