What will happen one way or the other, if you are supposed to delete the vendor xml and don't or are not supposed to delete it and you do... What is that file for? (im guessing something vendor related)...

Ahh wth... My laptop is expendable (too easy to wipe and restore). And earlier today I learned how easy it is to wipe and restore my Storm.

Just a question though;
someone said that you need to delete the vendor.xml file. From what I learned today, that shouldn't be necessary unless you're installing an OS from another carrier. true?

If I am on BES, will this update require that I re-initiate with my BES at work? In other words, will I lose all my contacts (which are synched), and will I have to drop the phone off at my IT department again?
