Oh, ok. Cool.
All this talk and only one person has installed it?
Can someone speak up and let us know how this update is working?
Any other differences? Browser? Known problems?
Thanks Don & Click!
I got the spinning clock right now. How long did it take for yours to load up?
mine took a while to load onto the phone...just be patient
...almost there......another 30 seconds or so......
Oh, do we need to delete the vendor xml? or is this for verizon as is?
DonNguyen, really dumb question, but how large is the file? I downloaded it twice. The first time it was 210 MB, and the second time it was 102 MB. I've never seen that happen before.
I guess the instructions are the same as in any OS update
Download the Leak, then:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.
Yes... is this the verizon update that is coming Dec. 5th, just leaked before release?
Went to Don's site. Downloaded the link. Installed to my PC. Hooked my Storm to my PC started DM. DM seen I had a update for my storm. Double check that the OS it wanted to install was .75 Clicked next on DM and off she went installing it.
102.9 MB (107,831,400 bytes)
My download: 102 MB (107,831,400 bytes)
102MB is the size it should be
I just don't know how they are going to push this out for OTA. Its huge and it takes forever to load.
its 102 mb
Should be 102 MB 105,305 KB to be exact
I'm a sucker for leaks and beta software. Installing. Hopefully this goes well. "leaks" have never failed me before!!!!
according to CX, OTA will be bits and pieces, not the entire OS
Took 10 minutes. I don't have a lot of apps and stuff to back up and restore so it went pretty quick. It will depend on how much stuff DM has to restore on your berry.
i am deleting dm and all downloaded blackberry software and start from the beginning
Thats good.
BTW: It's done, YAY!
Hey Click.. Can you sticky this thread please?
Make sure you have Dm 4.7 installed.
Yes, delete the vendor .xml..
