Don...first post here......upgraded my OS and my Storm is screamin'!!!! great instructions, followed them to a T...and my new OS was installed in about 20 minutes! I have broken my BlackBerry Cherry by installing this OS upgrade....and now I am addicted....what else can I mess with

At home screen, after changing my wall paper to a file saved off media card, my options selection will not open home screen preferences now.

mine is doing the same thing over and over , the only way to stop it is to do a battery pull and after the next time you go into that options again, it will freeze again , must be a bug in .75 but idk ...

I'm so tempted to try this leaked version. I've loaded many leaked OS's for my 8830 but I just can't bring myself to do it to the Storm yet....especially when an official update is soon to be released. I'll wait...this one sounds buggy.

I followed the download/install instructions to a T. Says it is installing new software 4.7.0, but after it's all done rebooting, etc, it still shows 4.7.0.65!! What am I doing wrong???

I had this exact same problem... I worked on it for 2 days, until I finally decided to download DM and .75 on another computer.. It worked perfectly!

works grade good job donNguyen if you got a storm you need this update tanks about 30 min to 60 min to download and wasn't that hard to upload to storm lol 1st time i used my PC in a long time dosen't work on Mac's

I was back and forth on whether or not I wanted to try this update myself or wait for the OTA to release. Before my Storm, I had an 8830 and never manually updated anything so I can understand why some people are hesitant. However, I missed two important calls today because my Storm decided to restart on its own so I decided to make the change.

I must say, this is the easiest upgrade I have ever done on anything. The directions were perfect. I spoke to Verizon a bit earlier and they told me the OTA update probably won't be available until Dec. 8th, so I made the upgrade manually.

For those of you who still feel your Storm lags after the update, or are having trouble with the menu key, do a battery pull immediately and wait a few minutes after startup for all the data to transfer. I had the same problems as many of you described and the battery pull took care of all of those issues.

ok mine is stuck on a screen (ON the DM installer) saying Connect to the JVM. i may be just impatient but did anyone else have this problem? how do i fix it..

walla ok i have installed the newv4.7.0.75 and alittle better but i heard we need to wirelesly do something lol to keep recieving e-mails, ill be up for bout 15 min to see if any one can help me, thanks again Don.

abe i believe you just need to dial *228 option 2 BUT im not sure, Worse case scenario you make a phone call that does nothing, its a verizon number and cant harm your phone

well i had no problems uploading the new OS.
considering i couldn't use my macbook.
i had to use an old and pretty slow pc, in which i had no problems.
much gratitude for the leak
