Downloaded just fine here. Ran the downloaded file, started BB desktop manager, plugged in phone and a window open saying i had updates. Still installing but smooth so far.
Of course, I can no longer send/receive email from/to my work address until I get the winders admins to do their thing. I also have nothing on my calendar, which is also to be expected.
I've been playing with it only a couple minutes, but other than the stuff missing cause of BES setup needed it looks good.
Now...what do I tell the caretakers of the BES server I need?
God all these new kids to BlackBerry have never played the unofficial beta update game and they're all being really silly and paranoid. Just download it, yo. And stop whining. This is what you asked for after all.
Amen Spangler ... sometimes people get what they wish for and they STILL aren't happy. It's human nature I guess.
Update worked for me, was official version. running the new one those saying not a big difference....for me its a huge difference....accelermeter working instant for me in all directions. scrolling is smoother, not as laggy as before. camera came up faster. it didnt have the browser icon on screen so goto manage connection hit find mobile network it pops back up. browser seemed faster, everything does, im very content, feels new. Good start to an update.
