Yeah Cal dont hold your breath. I updated to .75 when I first got my storm and have been waiting for months to see them fix major problems. They seem to be real interested in hyping and selling them - just not making them operational. Right now I would say if you need a toy its a phone with possibilities. If you need a phone for work - look elsewhere. Dont delay past the 30 days like I did thinking that they will release a patch to take care of the deficiencies.

No. Verizon would send out an OTA ( over the air) update or you could update using DM

Typically an email from Verizon, and/or a message to your phone letting you know it can be done OTA.

But you'll probably hear about it here, first! Ha ha!

I received an email from my area data device leader, saying the new upgrade was going to be pushing OTA pretty quick! I'm pretty excited, and im sure everyone else is as well!!

Again for those that don't know how to OTA upgrade::

Options --> Advanced Options --> Wireless Upgrade.

Its best to keep it plugged in while you do it!!

Its like the boy who cried wolf... people will only believe them so many times. Couple that and the fact that most VZW employees are clueless that claim doesnt really hold any water to most people. I have been told by vzw employees since January that a new OS was coming "next week".
