I was going to wait until official but got impatient.
I was on .75. I downloaded the leaked .113 and installed it.
The phone does have a lot quicker response. Just moving the menus around it seems to go quicker.
I do notice the colors don't blend as much. It looks like graidents aren't shaded as well or something. By no means is it terrible, but it loses some of its aesthetic quality.
My browser fonts look 'taller'. Not sure exactly how to describe it. The browser seems faster overall. I can now click the screen to zoom and it takes 1-2 seconds instead of 5-7.
On .75 my memory after battery pull was 33.7. On .113 I have at 45.3 (now at 43.6 after opening google maps, word mole, and browsing)
It may just be me, but the screen seems brighter.
The phone works. Coverage seems about the same for me.
I really don't give a s**t about MMS or SMS. I have email.
I was hesitant since I've heard rumors of an official release within the next few days. I figured since it was easy enough to do, I'd try it. I had to restore contacts, calendar, etc. But other than that, everything seems to work (after registering in routing table).
One note - I hope they let us change the default map to google maps in the official release. Being stuck with the verizon maps SUCKS. Has anyone figured out how to crack this yet?
Wow...it really is much faster than before...browser is super fast!! Accelerometor works well too! Switching between main menu/home screen is quick. Very impressed so far. Now if we could find some apps that are truly compatible with the Storm (as opposed to those ones that say they are but then when you try to do the download you find out it really is not).
im new to the storm go it about to weeks ago and i love i it was just slow. So this was my fist time installing any update and it all went smoothly definately faster than when it was stock from verizon. But did anyon notice that in the main menu it does not follor u finger anymore you have to highlight each individual menu icon. before i could miove m finger around he menu and have it follow my finger to whatever i wanted to highlight. is this cuz is a beta or is it just my phone ?

Everything looks good except one huge problem here...when I make a call or receive a call I cannot hear anything! On the call screen where it says connected there is picture of headphones next to the picture of the phone....what is this and how do I get rid of this so I can hear my calls!!?? PLEASE HELP ((also when I dial *228 it says activation INCOMPLETE)) HELP
I had this same issue earlier today and was instructed to fix it by making a call with the headphones plugged in, and then unplugging/re-plugging repeatedly until the problem solves itself.
It works, trust me. Try a battery pull first, then restart and do the above - that's how I got mine freed up.
i Have a pretty good memory leak from somewhere after installing .113 with .86 MMS.. my MMS didnt work on .113. i was at 51.5MB after a bat pull last night at like 8. and this morning i am down to 40 already. fastest my Memory has ever gone down. .114 hybrid never went below 45. unless i installed a lot of apps. i normally dont worry about memory too much, but i always watch it after a new OS install. I hope this is not going to be official. This OS dragged A** at first, now its a little better. i have the following under applications

took off tic tac toe and Smrtguard off to see if they were the issue. they werent i did a batt pull after deleting those apps and was at 52mb 25 minutes later it was down to 46.4

In a previous forum I read a couple of times that the BB has a flicker scroll now just like the iPhone or LG Voyager . I have to say I don't see it . I flick but don't really see a difference from my .75 standard . Don't get me wrong .113 is the way to go but I was looking forward to the flick scroll . It's a small thing but I like flicking things . UGH .
Now im at 36.7 since my last post 40 minutes ago. and my phone has been sitting next to be locked. .113 seems horrible when it comes to memory. i will be going back to .114

Why not use the phone a bit. I have noticed that when you run a few apps, browse the web a bit, or whatever, .113 will recover some memory while in use. Give it a shot.
I have only noticed this with .114 H1, H2, and now with .113.

lol. its a conspiracy. hahah JP i think its the tic tac toe game doing some of the mem loss. i deleted tic tac toe and smrtguard as well. we will see. those are the only 2 new apps since i had .114

You Suck! this build is the best, I have had no problems. Memory is steady 35 - 40. Maybe you installed to much junk on you phone. stop complaining at least you have something to go back to.
I upgraded my wifes phone from .76 last night to this build and I can't set any picture to the home screen.I highlight the picture I want to display and choose as home screen and exit out and nothing but black screen.I loaded a theme and the wall paper in the theme displays but still can't change to one from the sd card.Anyone else run into this.The performance seems good,I'm running .114 V2 and it is comparable is all aspects.Might have to bring her phone up to the hybrid if I can't get this sorted out.
