OS .113 9530 Feed Back- Results
- Yes, it works just fine in the release. It appears the only real issue with this beta is that it still cannot FORWARD MMS messages. Everything else is gravy. If you've had very many of the beta's...this one is as stable as .109, and smoother than any of them.03-24-09 11:27 PMLike 0
- So, went from .113/.114 hybrid to this after a wipe and much happier with this ... on my phone at least. Transitions are much quicker, camera rocks and so far after 3 hours memory is much more stable while running a theme. Hopefully it stays like this after a few days.03-24-09 11:28 PMLike 0
- Overall response of .113 is solid, still notice that there is a slight memory leak still present even in this build. I used my phone quite heavy today (full 7+ hours) various apps such as Slacker (while working at my desk) emails, mms, sms, phone calls, browser, THN (Hockey News), AP Mobile. While the phone never dropped to what i would consider unstable or extremely low mem availability it did drop off while not in use with no apps open.
I did however notice that the phone is a bit better at attempting to recover free'd up memory after apps have been closed. But its still a long shot and def needs some attentions (which i'm sure is being addressed by RIM at least i hope...)03-24-09 11:31 PMLike 0 -
- Here's a nifty rumor for you that's posted on Blackberryos.com...
New OS's rumored for both 9500 and the 9530: 4.7.0.185 & 4.7.0.188
By Andrew on March 24, 2009 8:37 PM
According to a source, on April 1, RIM is to release a new official OS. 9500 and 9530,a leak from the Department of North American research and development. The official version OS are 4.7 .0.188, and OS 4.7.0.185. specific new features yet to be announced.
Assuming this is true, then we are using beta's from MONTHS ago... I can only imagine the advances they have made since .113 or .114.03-24-09 11:33 PMLike 0 - I went from 109 to 113 yesterday. As with every other upgrade, I did a battery pull waited about 30 seconds and replaced. Everything works fine so far, no problems with any of the issues listed in this thread. Have sent several mms pics no problems. Did not have any missing contact info on this or any of the previous upgrades. Camera and video both work very well with no noticable glitches. I am very happy with .113 thanks to whoever provided it.03-24-09 11:34 PMLike 0

- I don't know if anyone has said it yet since i'm too lazy to read the ones before, but the accelerometer is a lot better than .114. I didn't realize how much more i liked the really sensitive accelerometer.03-24-09 11:51 PMLike 0
- Aww **** why not make it wipe your *** and give you a happy ending while you're at it because the things you're asking for should be a piece of cake for RIM's programmers...03-24-09 11:54 PMLike 0

I am on a .114 hybrid currently and it had fixed all issues I had seen with .75 and higher, including the .113 (hybrid as I now come to understand). But the .114(h) I have runs great (best i have tried yet). So Im gonna stick with that for now.
Thanks a ton douglas_c1703-24-09 11:59 PMLike 0 - 03-25-09 12:02 AMLike 0
- I would love to see this new amazing official release with all sorts of goodies... because...
Yes, .113 is snappier and smoother than the rest, but it really kind of sucks.
I mean, there is nothing really new to make me say WOW... this is a killer OS.
Like something simple like flick scrolling would be nice.
I guess we need this this 4.8 software thats made for a the touchscreen storm instead of this patch work bold OS called 4.703-25-09 12:08 AMLike 0 - Finally got the .113 on my phone. No thanks to anyone that didnt answer my posts for help...but anyhoo.... I'm much more satistied so far. Memeory waaay up to begin with. Yeah I know it will be down soon but memory and battery are first to go until it adjusts with time. I do love the improved responsiveness and number pad back with phone finally...that was a pain. We'll see what happens in days to come.
Now...on to the April Fool's release, official, gold code...whatever its called.03-25-09 12:32 AMLike 0
