I've been running for this for a week or so, 517/692. Love it. Very stable. Great work there. Now if RIM would only hire you full-time maybe we would get a full 692 without buggered files.

Running 517/692 for several days and the battery life improved. Now at 2%/hr at idle. I have noticed that the phone radio must draw a lot of power. That is what creates most of the drain. I run Youmail in the background as the only app that does that (other than the normal BB Apps running - phone messages BBM ets)

How do I tell which radio version I am using?? I have another hybrid that shows .580 in the help, about but the radio sucks. I am constantly dropping calls. I want to try this hybrid but if its the same radio I'm gonna try something else. I installed the other hybrid over 517 also.

If you installed over .517 that is the radio that you have.

What radio (I take it you mean phone reception) is the best version? What I am using is better than the original .320, but are they any better than .517?

Some people are using Verizon official .607. Did not work well for me but it works fairly well for a lot of people. There is a thread on this forum where you can download or use the DM to upgrade.

So far, no problems. Liking this better than 643. App memory is certainly a lot higher and very stable.

I've been running .517/.692 for 3 days now and everything is perfect! I tried .607/.692 for a couple days and I just didn't like it. I just don't like .607 anything. I've tried to like it... but I always end up going back to .517.

Sounds like you need to reload, I am using the files from the front page myself and it seems to be working fine for me. Best of luck.

I assume you removed the 517 java folder and copied this in its place.

I had the same problem.. what you need to do is reload your original .517 and then select all the files from within the ooak Java folder, copy them into the OS Java folder and select "yes to all" this leaves the required files alone so that the OS will load properly on your phone.

It drove me nuts until I figured out to copy and paste instead of swapping one Java folder for the other.

Have been running this for about 24 hours now over .607. SO far I am pretty impressed. Everythig works as it should. Very snappy. NO issues at all yet. Programs installed and ran ok. Battery drain does seem a little high for how I've been using it though. Running close to 6% all day. Some phone calls, quite a bit of texting etc. I'll keep watching it over the next several days and see.

Wait, you lost 6% battery in a whole day and you are complaining?Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying?

I was averaging between 4% and 8% since Friday, but introduced a couple variables over the weekend so I'm not sure if it could be counted. Put .676 back on last night so I can see if I get the 2-4% I was enjoying all last week.

    OK, finally got this installed.

After reading through here I realized that the loader saw it as a downgrade. I love this place.

Thanks for all of the feedback everyone. I knew it'd just be a matter of time.

Installed and everything seems great so far.
