it would be just as easy to download the shrunk versions and take then out of that.

theres two theme files and the virtual keyboard cod, if you're running windows you can type 'theme' and 'virt' in the little search box and they should be the only files that come up.
Thank you, I'll get on that right now.

After downloading, I put in the 3 .cod's and the keyboard didn't work even after a battery pull, so I put the old keyboard .cod back in and kept the 2 newer theme files.

Now I have 2 Precision themes by RIM.

    Precision Zen
    and
    Precision TIM <---?????

    Edit: using the .517 Radio.

Okay thanks. But what on earth is Precision TIM theme. I have 2 themes by RIM in my theme options. Never seen it before until I added those 2 theme cod's.

I've been running this hybrid for 24 hours now. It's all good, battery discharge is about 2.5% and the call end button finally works. It didn't work in the 607, which was real annoying.

    Battery life is very good.
    Browser is VERY FAST!

I cannot use the keyboard while in voicemail.
Buttons went away when using the camera.

Been using this a couple of days, here's my latest observation. Battery drain is worse on this than my previous 517/604 OOAK hybrid. I don't use meterberry so can't give definitive, just doesn't last as long. Also pics taken with camera are a little grainy if subject is from approx 5-25 feet away. In other words subject inside 5 feet or beyond 25 they seem ok. i did compare pics taken with the 517/604 hybrid, they were better at all distances. I also seem to get a memory loss a-la Storm1, Quick pull will fix it but it is significant, 20MB sometimes. Doesn't affect much, get the spinning wheel delay sometimes, frustrating. Don't think any of this is worth going back will just live with it until next release or hybrid.

I just noticed another strange bug. When in landscape mode, if you hit the end key the screen will be white on the white side and the left side looks like it does when the phone is in portrait mode and you hit end to minimize the icon rows. Anyone else notice this? It seems like anything .607 is really buggy.

I've been using pretty much all of OOAK's hybrids since the 9550 came out. They have usually helped but not the .607 versions. On the .643 hybrid I've noticed worst battery life as well as some glitches here and there.

I went back to stock .607 and am noticing better battery life and none of the glitches. OOAK does great work, it's not his fault. I think the combination of the files just doesn't work as well anymore. These are just my findings though.

Try using .517 as the base with the .643 java.

It's much more improved over the .607 base.

    Battery drain is extremely minimal
    Reboot is 1-2 min tops

Anyone notice not being able to open "Gears settings" under browser options?

Also, I tried using just the 607 radio and the 643 java in full and had issues with word completion re enabling itself. With OOAK's hybrid, word completion hasn't come back on on its own yet! OOAK, what COD file controls this?

    Thank you!

Weird, I had battery life issues with .517 and find that the .643 hybrid over .607 is the best performance to date - 1%/hr idle. As people have said before, every device is different. I have no idea why.

But my reboot has never been less than 5 min on anything - not that it matters much.

UPDATE: Had to remove this hybrid. My phone was almost unusable yesterday.

The one thing I really like about this hybrid was the browser. Which build was the browser from? It was lightning fast!

607/643 is the better than 517/643 for me. Battery life is from .9 to 3.2 and right now 2.6%. Best I ever used on any phone. Thanks OOAK!

I installed 607/643 a couple days ago and finally today had the time to remove it and install the 517/643. 607 was extremely unstable and there were many times the phone seized up so badly I couldn't even make a phone call or access any menus. Quicklaunch sometimes wouldn't even start - had to do actual battery pulls.

Isn't it funny how one phone can work just right and another have many issues?
