    Hi there...

If I download the new official OS at home, do I need to get re-activation from my IT department? Just wondering because I'm traveling starting tomorrow, so I can't do it even if I wanted to.

    Thanks.

I believe you have to get your IT department to reactivate it.

It depends on how your IT dept has it set up. My son is able to load the new OS, and install his backup's, reboot and then reconnect using DM while his computer is connected to his work network via VPN. DM finds the BES and revalidates.

I got my 72-hour password today. Yes, I think there are workarounds but depends on your IT setup.
