There was a similar rumor about an "official release" on Jan 16th. Please let me reiterate for everyone:

No matter what you hear or read to hear from any "VZW rep" or "customer service" or "guy who knows a guy at RIM"...

NOBODY WILL KNOW WHEN THE TRUE UPDATE IS UNTIL IT COMES OUT AND IS PLASTERED ON THESE BOARDS.

Please stop trying to persuade the masses otherwise and causing really sh*tty un-needed controversy.

I work at VZW in a call center and nothing was passed along Thursday. I even asked some people usually "in the know" and nobody knew of anything either.

I was just at a conference where RIM had a booth and they were running .133 on their personal storms. It was smooth and fast on a quick demo. The guy was claiming it was the real deal and confirmed that VZW is on the verge of a new release and that they have an insane certification process.

guys i dont know if anyone else has said this as i didnt read everypage of this post, but it seems all of you are using 9530's, and the member that originally started the thread is using a 9500 on vodafone..so even if the update came out today, you guys in the us would still be s.o.l...

Now, if they come out with whatever version OS. I'll be happy if there is ANY improvement over .75. I messed around with the 103/106 hybrid, and my DM stopped recognizing the device so I just blew it away and went back to .75.

This whole "I heard a rumor" stuff cracks me up. I heard a rumor that there is a rumor about a rumor that an offical OS is going to be released.

And LMAO to the "I heard it is going to be released on February 30th" post.

I think us Storm owners have to be patient, we all know the Storm isn't perfect, but we are still dedicated and willing to stick it out in hopes that one day, maybe just one day, the software matches up to the hardware.
