Official Firmware 4.7.0.150 on its way?!
- I bet: Ten to One the "150" will be 4.7.0.106 officially:
"9500_omadrmEuropean_PBr4.7.0_rel150_PL4.0.0.133_A4.7.0.106"
This is the filename for the leaked .106 beta.
And look how they describe FW on the official BB download pages, lets take Greece for example:
"BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.0.141 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.7.0.141
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.7.0.100
Software Platform: 4.0.0.124
File name: 9500_omadrmEuropean_PBr4.7.0_rel141_PL4.0.0.124_A4 .7.0.100_Vodafone_Greece.exe"
So ".141" is official already, and ".150" is nothing else than: .106!
Package numbers are different to applications version, that's it.
It is all a question of mixing up numbers after the dots...

It is all a question of mixing up numbers after the dots...02-19-09 09:31 AMLike 0 - This happens ALL the time. Someone starts a rumor and it doesn't come true. I was in the VZW store two days ago and they said Official release is coming in March. I don't even bother posting since I've seen tons of other users posting rumors. Although March does seem much more realistic then February!02-19-09 10:21 AMLike 0
- I work for Verizon Some account manager from Verizon told me that it will be version and build .150 BUT a while back they told me that the next official release was going to be the version .102 so I'm not putting all my hopes in it until it's released.
What about another leak? About time... lol02-19-09 10:27 AMLike 0 - Listen to Civic, it will be Release 150, which is version 4.7.0.106.
It seems pretty straightforward to me. I think Kevin remains pretty well informed of the latest Betas, and the latest version is 4.7.0.118. I can't see any situation where there is a 4.7.0.150 unless everyone is completely in the dark, which I really doubt considering the past and the informartion we get here.02-19-09 10:30 AMLike 0 - Listen to Civic, it will be Release 150, which is version 4.7.0.106.

http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/lat...-builds-58960/
In it it has the latest known betas for each BB. There is now a known .119 OS for the Storm.02-19-09 11:03 AMLike 0 -

Although the 103/106 hybrid does have my Storm running pretty smooth.02-19-09 11:18 AMLike 0
- Quick question: Does Kevin actually work for RIM or Blackberry? And the name of the Latest OS's has the word "known" in it. Meaning that these are the latest OS's the collective at Crackberry "knows" about. Lets not be so naive to think that Crackberry knows everything that goes on within corporate walls. Just throwing it out there. (No offense to Kevin or anyone here at crackberry, i am a huge fan of this community)02-19-09 11:20 AMLike 0

My contact at verizon, who is a pretty high up data application supervisor told me it is still too soon to see an official Verizon OS tomorrow. Sorry guys... However, he could be wrong. But he hasnt been in the past.02-19-09 11:21 AMLike 0 - Quick question: Does Kevin actually work for RIM or Blackberry? And the name of the Latest OS's has the word "known" in it. - No one knows. These known OSs are usually what the mods get wind of or maybe have and are testing. The "official" beta users/testers should not be releasing them but occasionally a beta OS gets out (leaked), then we all go on a feeding frenzy over the leaked beta OS.02-19-09 01:13 PMLike 0
- I agree in the thinking that the leaked OS's are just but a taste of what is to come. Still sitting on .75 and waiting.02-19-09 02:44 PMLike 0
- Can you imagine how much better .119 is than .103? That is 16 builds!!!
Like saying .87 vs .103 is there even a comparison?02-19-09 03:06 PMLike 0 - i don't know about other people...i've seen horror stories with upgrades..things missing.. memory leaks (i've been fine...i'll dip down to 22 megs every now and again during heavy use..but it doesn't run any slower).
i normally do a batter pull before i go to fully charge anyway....
but with every beta that's come out.... i've only seen improvement....i like doing the updates.... even if they're not officially supported.... as long as your bb's backed up, contacts, etc....what do you have to lose but reverting back to an older os02-19-09 03:07 PMLike 0 - Listen to Civic, it will be Release 150, which is version 4.7.0.106.

Download the Latest OS Enhancements for Your BlackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphone
Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce new software enhancements
for your BlackBerry Storm™ 9530 smartphone. The Research In Motion
4.7.0.75 release 107 update includes the latest feature improvements for
your device.
As you can see, they refer to it as "Release 107". So, if and when 150 comes out (if this rumor is true), it will be RELEASE 150, not app version 150. With all respect to whom came up with the wonderful idea of refering to releases by their APP version intead of the Release version (BBF peeps), I think it's fair to say that most of the VZW reps will probably refer to the releases by their Release version and not the app version. After all, if you look at the Help Me screen, you'll always see the release version in "()"... as in 4.7.0.106 (150).
BTW, if you want to have a good laugh, you guys should pull up this version PDF and read it. They have the "problems" listed and each sentance starts with "Intermitantly"... lol, as if to try and deter from the fact that IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Prepare yourselves for a lot of "Intermitantly" listings in the new release's PDF.Last edited by JRSCCivic98; 02-19-09 at 03:49 PM.
