All in all a very easy install. DL, Wipe, Install and restore in about 40 minutes. No problems with AppLoader recognizing .109, which is an issue I have had with other versions. Also, BES activiation seems to be working now that I have connected to DM. We'll see what the next 24 hours bring.

Though the color depth/scaling problem apparently is still present, hopefully .109 will have less random freezes and BBM freezes than .103. My understanding from the 9500 thread is that typing lag is improved.

First time I lost all my data..

Going from .103 to .109, DM couldn't restore my app data. I also get error trying to restore the backup I made beforehand, or any older backup I've made. Trying another battery pull and will try a restore again.


EDIT: After 2 Battery Pulls, it seems to be taking the restore. Weird.

if colordepth is still there... that means the sfi file in the CDMA doesn't really have what i want.

i came from .103
color depth still there , but not very noticeable for me , never really has been.
no more type lagging
mms works fine for me , sending pics
memory still at 52mb , but that will take time to really look at
no freezes in BBM
i will keep plugging away and let you guys know

haha so silly me forgot to run crackmem before starting the install, so i decided to while it was backing up... about 5 mins in, i get a fatal error message from the loaded and it aborted the install... hope it isnt bricked, i will wait for it to load. haha im gonna be busy fixing my phone for a few more minutes... :/

no not pointless...... it IS a newer platform and SHOULD work better with the .109 java files...

the problem is, the graphics aren't friendly to the color scaling, so you get really ugly banding and artifacting for the phone trying to compensate for colors it isn't showing. it looks unprofessional and dirty. like i said, functionally, it has no impact. but aesthetically, it just looks like it was quickly cobbled together.
