Why is this different than Verizons 607? They even share a network in the US. Other than the "official" language packs, this should be identical, with all the same problems.
This is different from Verizons because Verizon is a CDMA carrier which used the 9550 and Vodafone is a GSM carrier which uses the 9520. They are not interchangeable. Even of the java files are all the same the .sfi (radio) files will he different. Coincidentally this is also why the Vodafone .607 may not have the bugs as the VZW version, because many of the bugs are inherent in the radio file itself and not the java files.

Never said it was. Though o have a feeling it is partially .sfi controlled since it is a keyboard-related function and most of the keyboard bugs are .sfi controlled.
That argument aside, the point I was making was to answer someone's question as to how this is different from VZW .607 OS and why you could load this on a 9550. I was pointing out the differences and explaining why they may not hav all the same bugs.

I loaded it yesterday evening and it is working great so far. Quite a fast browsing experience and everything seems to be working... I lost App World after upgrading though, so I have to download that again.
been running for 24+hours and all appears great, battery much better than .580, screen more responsive etc, unfortunately i'm still having intermittent trouble with the volume from the handset earpiece meaning i can hardly hear anything. i guess it's hardware now. time to buy another..............

Totally with you buddy, I was merely poiting it out as a fyi sort of thing.
Also, I know that Lyricidal's .623 hybrid doesn't have the spell check issue, which proves to me that this isn't an sfi controlled thang...

What about the spell check issue?
Can you run a quick test for me and enable full keyboard under portrait mode, then turn off word completion under options, text and language input and disable spell check also?
Then go to your phone... back out, and try to use the keyboard under portrait mode and type something... it shouldn't highlight (meaning word completion) as you type. But if it does that means this also has the same bug... I'm willing to bet its the same (buggy) build, except for the sfi (radio) file if anything being different (gsm cdma, which wouldn't matter to us 9550 users), just as Orange had stated earlier...
Where are the GPS options????? 607 is big battery drainer. And has no GPS! And some radio problems too. It shows the BB logo with 3G but does not connect at all.
