    So I wanted to get my OG 9550 exchanged for the green dot upgraded S2 but I was surprised when the tech said that they did not have any and that they would order me one. So I asked when their shipments arrive and she said they don't stock Fru s2 anymore. That now they can only be shipped. Wtf I called every store in a 60mile radius and same story. Could this be caused by the demand for the updated s2 of change in policy. Was anybody aware of this?

    Same happened to me...who knows what the deal is but it sucks, now I have to wait to get mine shipped.

    they had to ship all stock back to have them updated with new hardware which i why they dont have any in probably. many stores have not gotten stock as seen in the various threads on here.

    so yes it should be known that you might have this issue

    This is true. This is being done to assure you only get an updated model now.
    There was a lot of confusion between the refurb units and many people were not getting up dated ones. Now that all are coming from just one source they can control it better and assure only the newer hardware version is being sent out. Its worth the wait.

    just make sure you get the right one when they do send it.. the first one i was sent was still part of the old stock.

    Same thing happened to me when I got mine 2 weeks ago. I did get lucky and find a store that had just received a shipment and I didn't have to drive too far.
