Choose the "Storm" option.

It is the official download page for the carrier branded FW.

Wont let me download. Gets to about 25% then asks to contact the administrator.

The Server is overloaded. I think every Storm 9500 owner is trying to download so just keep trying. It took me aboiut 4 attempts last night and that was before most of them found it.

The mods on the vodafone forum just confirmed that this is official from Vodafone. It seems that RIM was just released it a little sooner than expected. I can't confirm this, but 1 member on that site claimed that the lock bug was fixed.

I posted on the Vodafone forum to seek explanation for the confusion. Vodafone now admits 4.7.0.141 is official and the Admins closed the thread

Appears to be working fine
If the screen is locked it seems as if any of the 4 button keys on the bottom will unlock the phone as well as the unlock button..

We're delighted to announce that the new Storm firmware, version .141 is now available to install on your mobile. Here's how to do it if you haven't already...

Simply go to this page and follow the instructions to download and install the firmware. Alternatively, with your Storm connected to your PC with Desktop Manager running, in Internet Explorer go to and click on the "Check for Updates" button. If the button doesn't yet appear, you may have to accept an ActiveX control first, and then it'll appear.

As usual, make sure you've got a full battery, and consider backing up via Desktop Manager before applying the update so you don't lose all your important personal information.

If you've already downloaded the firmware on Tuesday night or yesterday from blackberry.com/update, then don't worry, this is the official release and will in no way affect your Storm's warranty.

Dosnt really affect me. Just makes it more lazy for my fingers not having to stretch.

On a other hand though, makes you think if RIM actually 'LISTEN' to their beta tester...

the battery life is terrible only quater left after 6 hours and not even used phone. Its bloody stupid now. I just want a phone which works

It seems that it doesn't...unless someone has better luck. It looked as though it was going to install just fine, but would not update when launching the loader.

I am pretty new at this so someone may get it to work. I deleted the vendor xml and all that but still wouldn't update.

Why dont you people do some searching before asking questions like this....The 9500 OS will not work on a 9530..UNLESS it has been modified and made into a Hybrid...But out of the box...It will never work on a 9530 Storm..This topic has been covered millions of times....Do your research people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Downloaded from Rim lastnight and i have to say this is the best release so far and it feels so much slicker to use.

Batter is down to 65% from 100% this morning from excessive playing with it.

have tried utube and this also work great now.

signal not really noticed that much of an improvement yet.

Still some colour banding visable

Browser is faster.

I don't know why anyone bothers. The .141/Hybrid is fast and the lock function works just fine. Everyone should install this OS and just sit on it and wait until the next few bumps up.

What difference would it make anyway? Both 9500 and 9530 users HAVE HAD THIS RELEASE FOR OVER A WEEK. There's nothing new and different in the official release. Both versions are the same since REL/PL/APP numbers have remained unchanged. Don't expect it to be anything different.... I never understand why people don't get this.

So bottom line, enjoy your lock bug which apparently Voda overlooked and if (and only if) it comes out from VZW as well, enjoy your data loss after you dial *228.

I think it should work on all unlocked devices. Make sure you delete the vendor file.
