In my opinion, if you don't see anything wrong with it, keep the OS. Some are still on the original .75 and are happy.

Thank you! I was wondering if the new fix would do anything for freezingup, slowness of internet browsing or sticky keyboard when typing. I doubt it would fix any battery issues. Just wondering....I love the STORM but there are a few things that are very bothersome.
Try loading the full release of .148 (none of this hybrid or shrunk BS) and retest and handset. If it didn't make enough of a difference for you to want to keep it, downgrade back to .75 and return it. Wait on Storm 2 after that to try again.
Battery life is one thing that's extended with the upgrade, but it may or may not make enough of a difference for you. You just have to try it. The fixes are too many to list... like 7 pages long or longer from .75 to.148.
Consider flashing to the .148, run it for a few days, see if it improves things and fixes your problems.
If it improves your Storm, keep it.. and keep running it.
If the storm doesn't perform to your liking, then follow the threads on downgrading your OS, and go back to the stock version it shipped with then return it.

What's wrong with the hybrids? I found it to be much better, like an icing on a cake, because it works with the .148 but adds quite a few 5.0 files. Have you tested the hybrid? If not I don't think you can give a true opinion. Some like the hybrid, some don't. Bottom line is that each Storm will act differently. My first one was slower with .148. This one is much, much better. I went to .148 and stayed for a day and a half or so, and jumped right into the hybrid (which is really just installing something on top of the OS) and have been there ever since. Preference is what it is about
