Hi folks

I am getting my Storm tomorrow. I have had Blackberries for years and always felt safe and warm using them and upgrading the OS etc etc. However....

There seems to be a lot of talk about beta versions and hybrid versions of the OS and most of the posts on the forums here talk about the 9530. Here in the UK we have the 9500 and I am quite certain that, when I get my hands on the device, it will need a OS upgrade.

My question is, simply, the .113 and .114 downloads that are listed for use on the 9530 device - are they OK to load onto my 9500? My gut feeling is that it should be OK, but if anyone could give me the benefit of their better knowledge I would be very grateful.

No, you can only use 9500 OS on the 9500, can't use 9530 OS. But with all the hybirds and leaks and all that good stuff, you can get it to work. I believe they have .113 and .114 for the 9500 as well.

Nope you will need the 9500 versions, but they exist too. You should be able to find the threads here, but sometimes they get buried by all the posts and threads from us yanks. You might want to check a UK flavored BB site I think is kinda cool call Berry365....
