The reason behind this sorting (bottom to top) was that we wanted to minimize the required eye movement from virtual keypad to the shortcuts after the user has "typed" one character and the list of matched shortcuts in the view screen gets shorter.
Will check the code and see if it is possible to have top-bottom or bottom-top as a customizable feature.

    Fixed it.

Shortcuts and Alt-Shortcuts are handled differently in the program. So, cross over moving is not possible at the moment. I know from user point of view this does not make any sense.
Currently any Alt-Shortcut can be moved around inside the Alt-Shortcut area. So is the case with Shortcuts.

Flash Light launches the Video Recorder. To use the flash light feature, it is required that you set the "Video Light" to Always ON in Options page of Video Recorder

Will add. In the mean time, you can either set that field to 0 or use the menu option Clear Field, to turn off the vibration (empty field will be treated as 0 ms)

    **Edit**

If you have an uSD card in your BlackBerry you can save all the shortcut settings into the uSD card using "configuration->file".
You can later on, when you want, use "file-> configuration" to load them back in the ShortcutMe.

You can also modify (or create new) shortcuts by modifying the stored file (shortcutmeconfig.txt) on PC using Word Pad. Then load it into the ShortcutMe. Steps for doing this is explained in detail here:
    ShortcutMe (ShortcutBerry) - FAQs

You can also use this feature to take your shortcuts with you (on uSD) to a new BlackBerry if you happen to switch to a different BB model.

What this program does today is a direct result of good feedbacks we have got from users/testers/customers.

Once again, great feedback. I appreciate the insight and have to applaud the scientific approach to the scrolling / keyboard / eye movement. Makes perfect sense.

Good to go on the file/ config explanation.

Thanks again for the chance to test.

Are we going to get access to the OTA link to try out the updated version?

So far, I'm really impressed with what I have, but you know, its nice to play with the latest and greatest.
    Fully understandable.

The RIM signing tool that I have does not work right now (or I am too tired to find the problem tonight). Beside, I am not done yet with all the changes. I will update the OTA link tomorrow. Let you know.

    Editing:
(RIM signing tool is used to sign the .cod file, a necessary step to make it runnable on BlackBerry devices).

Will the shortcut config option be available in this version, or is it no longer a part of the ShortcutMe?

Using multiclick config I have programmed my convenience keys but only the righthand one functions. Other than that and the feeling that this is quite complex to set up I think its a great app.

Correct. It is no longer available.
Number of shortcuts is now increased (from 52) to 70 because some customers meant 52 was not enough.
The old Shortcut Config page took then long time to load (specially on some BB models with trackball). So, I removed it. I think now it should be possible to do everything directly from the main page (even Check Conflicts).

Sounds like you have assigned only right convenience key to ShortcutMe (?)

Any suggestion how to make it easier to setup?

When I tried to upgrade to 3.1.00 from 3.0.0.4 the program would not run - something about uncaught exceptions. After an uninstall/reinstall, using my existing config file resulted in many shortcuts without names. Rather than editing many shortcuts I simply started fresh with the beta.

However, your experience may be better. I do recommend saving your config file first.

Is there any chance of adding a calendar agenda view and device info?

After a quick look the new version seems to work well. More testing later.

That is odd and not good. I kind of thought I had done enough to make the migration to V3.1.00 a painless process.
Will check and see why you got those exceptions.

The empty items, are because V3.1 tries to copy App Name to Display Name if it sees an earlier version of ShortcutMe. If it somehow does not see that it is an old version, it does not copy. And since 3.1 shows Display Name instead of App Name, you get those empty looking items.

Hopefully will have a fix for this.

    Added Device_InfoPlus to V3.0.0.3

Will see what I can do regarding the calendar agenda view.

It wasn't too much of a problem. I still have my shortcutmeconfig.txt from 3.0.0.4, so if you do have a possible fix I can test it.

    Thanks for the help.

    Created a new version: V3.1.0.3

    New features:

    - Device_InfoPlus added to application list (Device Info and memory statistics)

    - Removed a bug that resulted asking "Do you want to save changes?" even when nothing was added to a Add New Item page.

Please update from the same OTA link (remember to "refresh" the download page, if you see any version other than V3.1.0.3)

Whats the possibility of adding at least a few more color options? I know it says magenta, but what about basic red, brown, tan, gray, purple, etc? Running out of color options for the apps.

To delete many items at once, you can mark one (browse to an item, then choose "Mark Selected" from the menu), then browse to the last item you want to delete, and choose "RemoveAllFromMarkedToSelected" from the menu. (Marked item and Selected Item need to be in the same category: Shortcut, or Alt-Shortcut)

I will make this process easier or more visible in a new version.

    >ability to let the user choose the shortcuts instead of having a list to choose from

Please explain more what you mean.

    Vijik,

I would also like to see more colors if possible.
An easy way to delete multiple shortcuts at once would be good. The method described above does not seem to exist for me in version 3.1.0.3

Is there any way you can make a shortcut to any of the message folders, such as saved messages?

Faster scrolling would be good too.

An option for a full qwerty keyboard in portrait would be great.

Additionally, shortcuts to turn gps and bluetooth on/off would be great if possible.

    Thanks. Excellent program.

    Occasionally the suretype keyboard misbehaves.
Ex: shortcut "WE". Press QW + ER and I get "no application matches your input".
Additionally, single letters appear where the current pressed keys show up.

Closing and restarting the application cures this.

The new version, V3.1.0.7 is ready for download from the same beta download link you used before.

    New stuff comparing to 3.1.0.3:

-Added Calendar_AgendaView to the application list.

-Added Device_InfoPlus to the application list.

-Added Msg_Compose to the application list.

    -Removed some bugs.

-Upgrading from 3.0.0.4 should now go painless. No loss of data (I tried it on 5 Blackberries, but I still can't be sure on this one).

-Added a feature to read configuration file created from V3.0.04 (from uSD card) and then ask to create Display Name for shortcuts (avoiding empty looking shortcuts on the main page after upgrading from V3.0.04)

I tried many other colors but they did not look nice on the black background. On some BB models they look very bad. The red color on some BB models was very painful to look at.
