Can someone tell me a couple of things.

I am new to the "storm". What is the difference between a 9500 and 9530?

Where do you find the latest software update not available from Verizon?
    (I think it is 132)

Is there a way to get the full"QWERTY" keyboard in portrait orientation?

Thanks in advance to whoever answers this

The 9500 is GSM and isn't used in the US, 9530 is CDMA and is used both in and outside of the US. Both do have both capabilities of GSM and CDMA though. 9500 is set standard to GSM and 9530 is set to CDMA. To use the other "side" you'd need to unlock the device.

I think currently .141 is the latest.

I think leaked OS' above .109 have full portrait QWERTY keyboards. I'm not positive if it's .109 and above that have it, but it's around there I believe.

If you want to run GSM with the latest OS you might have an issue with the radio so you have to copy the CDMA folder from an older OS into the new OS to make a hybrid OS.
