He walked into a Sprint store in Grand Rapids, MI and bought a Storm. I have no idea how he did this and I'm trying to figure out how. Any ideas on how?

Its not a storm. Sprint doesnt sell the storm, so you wouldnt find it in their stores. They have many other touchscreen devices however.

Does it have the Verizon branding on the battery door? If so, your friend is either spinning some serious BS, or maybe someone at the Sprint store is selling Storms, but not in his official capacity as a Sprint rep.

This phone is still a Verizon exclusive. There is no way the op's friend just walked into a sprint store and purchased & activated this device.
