My Blackberry Storm's screen Gone Off
- I got a blackberry storm on contract from vodafone in Nov, the very day vodafone put it out in the UK. The fone has been rebooting a lot the last few days more than it use to reboot on its own in the past. However, it was working fine until yesterday when a call came through and whiles i was talking, the phone rebooted. Came back on with a blank screen. I took the battery off and then put it back to get the screen all up working correctly. The phone froze several times yesterday whiles i was typing messages.
Then it finally went off, I took the battery off and later put it back in expecting it to come back as it does always. This time, i can see the phone is on as the keypad lights are on but the actual screen is still not coming up. I ranged it myself and surprisingly the call came through which presupposes that the phone is on but the screen is just gone off like that.
Has anyone ever gotten this problem? I am just confused on what to do looking at the 24 months contract ahead of me.I do not have inssurance on this phone. Does anyone know much how the 1 year warranty works and how i can get this phone sorted out, by who and how? I am going to get it fixed if possible or a replacement in any way? can any one help pls?Last edited by sweetvincent; 02-08-09 at 05:08 AM.

Possibly due to the phone memory being corrupted. You could try wiping your phone and do a clean install.

If you want to try something you could try a complete wipe of your handheld and re-install the official 78 Operating System. My mate Ricky has written upa guide to do this here
Its worth a try, before having to go through the rigmarole of getting it fixed. Good Luck matey02-08-09 05:11 AMLike 0 - First thing I would do is back up all your stuff while the phone still powers on. In my honest opinion it sounds like a hardware fault if the screen is not working.... but it cant harm to try a DIY fix before sending it for repair.02-08-09 05:43 AMLike 0
