Where did you get that at? I can't find it.
Doesn't the Google Mobile Application have all of the google apps in one package?
Does it pinpoint your exact location or does it just fine the closest weather receiver and use that to give the conditions.
Here's the link:

Well, it does pinpoint your location, but of course it needs to use the closest weather station... Not like it can tap into the thermometer in your backyard.
I've just activated a replacement Storm and I can't get Weatherbug to work. I had it working flawlessly on my previous phone, but it keeps freezing the system on the new one. Any ideas?
Make sure you have BB Maps loaded.
thanks to dmglakewood for information of storm wallpapers
Bar code scanner
It really depends on what you need in daily life. Also there isn't a huge selection of apps just yet. DOn't forget you don't get a TON of application memory either, so if you load too many apps, your Storm will become a Snail. Here are mine, hope they help:
Soft Reset: so I can battery pull & keep memory level high
Wall Street Journal, NYT, Bloomberg
Garmin Mobile: works just like the car version
YouTube
Crackberry Launcher (of course!)
BeamReader: reads PDFs
Blackberry Alerts
Viigo
Trying out WorldMate, but might not travel enough to use it
are there any other apps for wallpapers besides stormgrounds?
Viigo is my favorite. I've deleted a bunch of the channels I don't use and added a number of them like local news, USA Today, FoxNews, etc.
Also have: Weatherbug and SI, ESPN, Crackberry launchers.
does anyone know why I can not download (OTA) Google Maps on my Blackberry Storm? Driving me crazy!!
I have had weatherbug on my home screen for majority of the time I've had the phone and love it. Additionally, I just downloaded the Wall Street Journal app since it was suggested here and since it will be useful this semester for my economics class and I am highly impressed with that app as well. The only other downloaded app I have used a little is gCalc and it works well so far.
So far for me:
1. WeatherBug
2. QuickPull
3. Youtube

I wish you guys would explain what some of these apps are. I read this forum and I am just confused as to what the app is (and or) does.
google them
open them up
download them
explore
and decide for yourself which ones work best for you
My experience with this phone has been a learning curve. Every day I pick up something new or improve on something I already had.
Your not going to "get it" all in one day
g'luck!
Brother, I have owned Blackberry's since the 8700 Series. I am just not used to some of these apps being talked about. That's all I am trying to say.
Here is my opinion on must havs for me:
QuickLaunch - Launch Websites, Email / SMS, Phone #'s, 3rd Party Apps, Music, Vids, Pics and more
Nintaii - Verry addictive game
Weatherbug - Works good on my phone
Softreset - Does battery pull with out physically pulling the battery.
Capture It - Helps if you have questions on storm for creating screen shots of your Storm.
I'm trying to figure what mobile reader I want to get, but looking forward to that as well.
Welcome to the Storm, I'm sure you will love it!!! I do!!
Dude nobody had slacker on here! That is my most used app right now
1. Slacker. (amazing streaming radio)
2. Google maps (3.0.2 with GPS is so nice)
3. Opera mini/Bolt (browsers that are much faster than the default)
4. Weatherbug. (awesome for being free)
5. Guitar tuner. (handy if you play guitar)
I use these apps every day but am anxiously awaiting the app store!
Hope that helps!

I agree - Slacker is great!
Google Maps
Weatherbug (and for the person who said Weatherbug's forecast was limited, do you know that you can swipe sideways on a day and you get a more detailed forecast...and then you can swipe again and get hour by hour forecast? How is that not detailed enough?)
what is the purpose/function of the youtube app? wouldn't you have the same functionality by going to m.youtube.com?
The following I would consider essential:
Weatherbug
Google Maps
Slacker
The following I would highly recommend:
AP Mobile News
Poynt (although can be a bit redundant to google maps)
Viigo
Worth a try:
Smartflicks
Flycast
Its my favorite app but it better be for $80:
Garmin
