Okay so I decided I didn't want to pay $30/mth for tethering, so I got MobiShark. Compared to tethering with VZW, it is terrible! I tested the speed and got max of 380 kb/sec, while my BB browser got over 1000kb/sec, so unless i'm missing something, it is awful at transmitting data. Unless you rarely tether and don't care about speeds, I definitely recommend staying away. Hopefully better software will come out that better utilizes the 3G capabilities!
